How to crop a video in your browser
Enter the exact pixel area to keep. There are no drag handles or presets here. Choose a video file from your device, and the preview shows its frame. Enter X and Y to place the top-left corner of the area you want to keep, then enter its width and height in pixels. Select Crop and download the resulting MP4. Keep the tab open while it processes the file.
Set the crop area in pixels
The starting values set the largest even-pixel area from the top-left of the frame. If the source width or height is odd, the last pixel column or row falls outside that area. Change the four values to crop in from an edge or focus on one area. X and Y move the selection right and down from the top-left corner. Width and height define the part that remains. Every value must be an even number, and the rectangle must stay inside the source frame.
For example, to keep a 118 × 58 pixel area starting 2 pixels from the left and 4 pixels from the top, enter X 2, Y 4, width 118 and height 58. For the whole frame at a different height, use the video resizer.
Download and check the cropped MP4
This MP4 cropper runs locally in your browser, with no upload or account. Download the result as an MP4 and play it in the app you plan to use before sharing it.
If you need the spoken words rather than a smaller picture, video to text is a separate transcription service. It requires an account and uploads prepared audio for recognition.

Frequently asked questions
How do I crop a video online?
Choose a video from your device. Enter X and Y for the top-left corner of the area to keep, then enter its width and height in pixels. Use even numbers, select Crop, and download the MP4 when it is ready.
Is this online video cropper free?
Yes. You can crop one local video at a time for free without an account. Processing runs in your browser; the source file is not uploaded to Hushscript.
Can I crop a video to a preset aspect ratio?
No. This tool uses a numeric crop rectangle, not 1:1, 9:16 or other aspect-ratio presets. Work out the width and height you need, then enter even pixel values that fit inside the source frame.
Will the cropped MP4 keep the sound?
The tool keeps audio when the source has a track and the browser and conversion path support it. Video and audio may be re-encoded, so check the downloaded MP4 before sharing.
Is cropping the same as resizing a video?
No. Cropping removes the area outside your selected frame. Resizing changes the dimensions of the whole frame. Use the separate video resizer when you want to keep the full picture.
