Podcast transcription for episodes and interviews

Hushscript turns an existing episode recording into text you can search, correct, and export. Podcast transcriptions come timecoded with speaker-labeled turns, and the editor lets you fix the words and names before you use the result for captions, show notes, or another publishing workflow.

How to transcribe a podcast

Add a supported local audio or video recording and preview up to 5 minutes before creating an account. The preview uses automatic language detection. After sign-in, Hushscript adds source language, speaker, vocabulary, and other recognition controls, and can merge several related episode segments in your chosen order before transcription.

AI podcast transcription from the audio you already made

Automatic transcription gives you an editable draft from the recording you already have, and the recording stays your source. Clear, close speech transcribes best; distant voices, background noise, music, and overlapping speakers need more correction, so preview the actual episode first.

Review hosts, guests, and episode segments

Host and guest labels add no minutes in any supported language. Rename display names, reassign individual turns, and split or merge transcript turns as you review the episode. When you merge related segments after sign-in, check speaker labels across each join: the same label does not always mean the same person.

Build show-note drafts from the transcript

After transcription, one optional free Insights run produces the complete result together: chapters, quotes, summaries, speaker topics, subject clusters, show-note suggestions, and an AI-derived show-notes export. Regenerating later costs minutes. Use these outputs as a draft: check quotes, names, claims, and chapter boundaries against the transcript before publishing.

Repurpose podcast content manually

The transcript gives you editable source material for show notes, a podcast page, captions, or excerpts you prepare for another channel. Export it in document, research, office, subtitle, or structured-data formats. When Insights exist, the separate show-notes export provides another draft to edit. You choose what fits each channel, then handle keywords, optimization, and publishing in your own workflow.

Export transcripts and captions

Download 21 unwatermarked formats, including TXT, Markdown, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT, CSV, JSON, FCPXML, and EDL. Subtitle files can accompany a video version of the episode; they are not burned into the video. A password-protected .husharchive is available as a separate portable bundle.

Privacy controls and personal pricing

Normal mode keeps an encrypted transcript under your retention rule. Personal accounts use prepaid minutes with no subscription, and service safeguards apply to very large jobs. Hushscript for Teams is a separate monthly or annual offer. Optional translation uses personal minutes, and later Insights regeneration costs minutes.
