How to trim a video in your browser
Choose a video file from your device. Enter the start and end times in seconds for the clip you want to keep, then select Trim. Download the resulting MP4 when processing finishes. Keep the tab open while it works. This free video cutter online uses a local file, so you can trim MP4 files without an account or upload.
Cut one continuous video clip
Use this tool to cut a lead-in or ending from a recording, or keep one moment from a longer video. For example, start at 2 seconds and end at 5 seconds to keep that single span. The end must be later than the start, and both times must stay within the source duration. The controls accept times to hundredths of a second; the exact cut point in the exported file can depend on encoding.
This page does not remove a section from the middle and join the remaining parts. It does not accept video URLs or make multiple clips at once. If you need to cut an audio-only file, use the separate audio cutter.

Will the trimmed MP4 keep sound and quality?
When the source is already an MP4-compatible codec, trimming copies the video and audio instead of re-encoding them, so quality doesn't change. A source outside that set may still be re-encoded to fit the MP4 output. Play the downloaded MP4 before sharing it.
