Hushscript is private transcription by the minute: $1.99 for 45 minutes up to $49.99 for 6,000, no subscription, and every privacy control included on every pack. Eligible personal accounts get 30 free minutes once, after card verification or with a first purchase.

Pay as you go, no subscription. Minutes never expire.
Eligible personal accounts receive 30 free transcription minutes once after successful card verification. Hushscript places a temporary $1 hold and releases it without charging. Eligible accounts can also receive the minutes with their first purchase if not already granted. Buy prepaid packs when you need more.

Hushscript for Teams puts a whole firm on one workspace: pooled prepaid hours starting at $49 a month with 50 included, or $490 a year with 600 included, automated tax invoices, and separate admin and reviewer rights for account management and transcript access.

- The Cleaned transcript is a fully rewritten version, not a list of suggestions to approve: compare it with the Original, edit it, or revert anytime.
- Optional medical mode adds 100% of the recording duration to billed minutes. Each translation target adds 25% of that duration. With translation, the whole job, including base transcription, uses your personal minute balance rather than a Teams pool.

Frequently asked questions
How does the referral program work?
If you were referred, your first eligible paid pack includes 30–300 bonus minutes, depending on the pack. Your inviter may also earn minutes. See the Referral Program for eligibility and reward details.
Can I download a receipt for a minute purchase?
Yes. Completed purchases appear in Billing with a stable receipt number and a downloadable Hushscript payment receipt. It confirms the recorded payment and is not a tax invoice.
How much does a minute cost?
The effective rate is about $0.008 per minute on the 6,000-minute pack and about $0.044 on the 45-minute pack. You buy the full pack up front.
How much does transcription cost per hour?
On the 6,000-minute pack ($49.99), the effective rate is about $0.50 per recording hour. On the 45-minute pack ($1.99), it is about $2.65 per hour. Packs are paid up front; these are effective rates, not hourly billing.
How do I get my 30 free minutes?

Can I try transcription before buying a pack?
Yes. Preview up to 5 minutes before you sign in, and a new personal account gets a free preview of its first upload in the app. Eligible personal accounts also get 30 free minutes once, after card verification or with your first purchase.
Why do you need a card?
Card verification is how Hushscript confirms eligibility for the one-time 30 free minutes and keeps that credit from being abused. Your first purchase is the other route to the same minutes.
Do my minutes expire?
No. Minutes do not expire.
Is there a subscription?
No. Personal accounts use prepaid minute packs, with no subscription. Hushscript for Teams is a separate monthly or annual subscription with pooled hours.
Do Insights use my transcription balance?
The first Insights generation per transcript uses no minutes. Later regeneration uses minutes: 40% of the recording duration from the Original, or 30% from the current Cleaned version. Hushscript shows the cost before you confirm.

Can I get a refund?
No. Minutes are delivered to your balance once your payment is confirmed, so all sales are final and non-refundable except where the law gives you a non-waivable right. If a transcription fails for technical reasons on Hushscript's side, the minutes held for that job are released automatically. You can try a free preview of up to 5 minutes before buying.
